The Heritage
Dasko soon lived up to his heritage. At a Podium Club Practice Conformation Show, when Dasko was barely one year old, he was shown under SV Koermeister Joachim Bratke. Koermeister Bratke said: “This is the most beautiful dog I have seen today”, and awarded him SG 1. Dasko was also shown under SV Koermeister Peter Arth, who awarded him once more SG 1. At the USA Northeast American Regional Show, Dasko got V 2 and a KKL 1 under Koermeister Bratke. Dasko was awarded V 1 and his progeny First Place at the USA Northern Virginia VPG Club Conformation Show by SV Koermeister Heinz Henrici. In various shows, Dasko placed ahead of VA-rated dogs.

But Dasko would also astound us with his working ability. Jutta persisted with purely positive motivational training. Dasko soon placed first in his BH under DVG Judge Ann Dolan, first in his SchH 1 under SV Judge Friedrich Stenner, first in his SchH 2 under USA Judge Floyd Wilson, first in his SchH 3 under WDA and USA Judge Mike West, and first in his SchH 3 and his IPO 3, both under WDA and USA Judge Mike West. He also achieved High in FH under SV Judge Bogdin Sergo.

In all these trials, Dasko placed ahead of dogs trained by compulsion – clear evidence that you do not need a prong, choke, or electric collar to train for Schutzhund. It can be done purely positively.
