Christmas Eve The interior of the airplane was full of Christmas decoration. As the Lufthansa flight touched down at Washington’s Dulles International Airport on Christmas eve, I could not wait to get to the customs area and pick up Dasko. Had he made it? At Dulles International Airport, the belt for our luggage was at one end of the customs area and the crates were to come out at the other end of the area. We first checked the area where the crates were supposed to be delivered, but there were none. I went to check for our luggage, while Jutta waited for the crate. Suddenly, through the terminal, there was a piercing scream of a puppy – as loud as you could imagine. Was it Dasko? I rushed to Jutta, and found her standing next to the crate with Dasko screaming to get out. He had made it. |
